They say she's too smart for her own good and scarily analytical- she responds with that oh so mischievous smirk. Refusing to be swayed by worldly opinion, jessieADORE has grown to love the beat of her own drum and embraces the fact that many others may not.
"I'm not here to entertain you", begins her off-putting mantra, "I'm simply a messenger." This being said by a record selling singer/songwriter may come across perplexing, but that's exactly what her debut album "The Heathens Epiphany" explains. Not attracted to false glory and disenchanted with that shiny pedestal people in the industry are often placed upon, Adore understands that what she possesses and has to offer is not in and of herself.
It's the classic case of a Butterfly Effect. As great a childhood as anyone could ever desire. Island girl, born in Europe to a loving family and comfortable lifestyle. Supportive parents who nurtured every aspect of her creativity, and business mind alike, missADORE attended a Performing Arts Prep School where she got her first taste of the entertainment realm.
Always a writer, Adore began excersing her skills professionally when she was picked up by Arista during the early years of High School. Not before long the harsh reality of the industry reared its ugly head and thats when she decided entertainment was not worth selling her soul. Walking away from it all and committed to leaving it behind, Adore found that her genuine love for music never left despite her efforts. Divine intervention placed her in the midst of super producer and industry vet, Dave "Supa Dave" Deberry. Having production credits for acts such as Outkast, Lauryn Hill, Madonna and Mary j. Blige, Supa Dave took a liking to the feisty female and decided to executive produce her debut.
"The Heathens Epiphany"-an introduction to JessieADORE, creates an intimate atmosphere conducive for any listener to get up close and personal. The album certainly does not represent Adore entirely; instead it serves as an explanation for the arrival to her present place in life and spirit. With this gritty and confessional bridging of the gap between her past and present, Adore sets the platform for listeners to follow the journey into her future.
Hood-Rock n Soul is the best sound description for this genre-less musician jessieADORE provides a fusion of funk, hip-hop, soul and rock n roll strung together by insightful lyricism to form an innovative, fresh, new sound creating an element all its own. It does not duplicate the standard sound of modern music. Rather, it draws from the essence of great music past, and is glazed with imaginative experimentation, which speaks to the music lover.
Hopefully you'll love it.
