Katrina's Angels started due to the magnitude of Hurricane Katrina, but we have moved on to aid in other disasters, such as floods in the midwest, Hurricane Gustav, Hurricane Ike, and now, to Gowanda, NY, which experienced severe flooding in August. Once we are done in NY, we will be headed to help in GA, which is still experiencing widespread flooding at this time. As Katrina's Angels, we want to do more, but we cannot do it without the help of our generous donors and our compassionate volunteers. Help us bring disaster survivors, especially the children, the uninsured, and the elderly, a little hope.

Please join us as the Gowanda area is still in need of volunteers! Katrina''s Angels, and our partner, Neighbors Across the Land Disaster Relief and Recovery, (http://www.natldrr.org/deploycurrent.html ), are working with Deacon Fred Johnson, coordinator at Tri-County Recovery Coordination Center, to continue the disaster relief efforts in the area. We need local volunteers to muck out flooded houses as well as basements of the elderly who are unable to do so. We also need people with chain saws to cut fallen trees. Anyone who can donate extra fans or dehumidifiers, or linens/personal hygiene items, please contact Cheryl at FinancialDirector@katrinasangels.org as they are really needed at this time. Please donate if you can. If someone has a commercial size dehumidifier they can lend to the efforts, it would be much appreciated.
Gowanda has a large amount of people who are homeless and need our help. Won’t you please consider lending a hand?
