With the election of Barack Obama one could view our country as taking a turn for the better. However cloaked in the illusion of better things to come, a dark cloud has been allowed to hang over us. Proposition 8 a law that would ban gay marriage was passed. So on the day when our country shouted that anyone could do anything they put their minds to be tarnished by the weak minded and frightened.  

California was the battleground for this debacle. On Election Day rights that gay men and women possessed were stripped away. A proposition funded by the Mormon Church. You hear that California?? They've made Utah a religious police state now they turn the sights of their lunacy to you.  It isn't enough to speak out against gay rights. They struck a blow for their side and in my opinion not enough people are talking about it.

So why? Are the gays of America pestering the religious Nazis of America with invitations to their god less weddings? Are they rubbing it in your face that they have a better success rate then a "normal god fearing marriage" has? What is it that upsets you so much? Oh I know it's the fact that they are adopting and caring for the unwanted children that you fought so hard not to have aborted. I bet that really pisses you off. It's not so much that you believe in a God that grants wishes and punishes those who don't ask for favors. It's that you can't stand people who are happier than you.

It all goes down to we are scared of what we don't understand. This is a type of person who has figured out who they are, and what they want. Those too afraid for so long to be who they really are. Two people who can identify with each other. A person that went through this change can look at another person who went through the same change and fall in love. Two people who have a deep respect for each other who want to be together. Two people who have decided they want to spend the rest of their lives together and either have a child of their own, or adopt one who wasn't wanted. Two people are the words. TWO!!!!! Not two plus the religious jack asses who don't have the slightest clue what they are apposed to. I want to enact proposition 9 to be placed on the next ballot. Prop 9 will take away the right to practice religion. Not fair?? Yeah that would suck having a right you always had stripped away from you. Especially by those of us who don't practice a specific religion, and wouldn't miss the right if it was gone.
