Up Hygh are 20-years-olds Pure Purpose and Rick Skizzo of Stockholm, Sweden. Both produce, write, MC and DJ. Hip hop is at the core of their vibe, but after pressing 'play' it's obvious they're not just any old rap act. Elements of electro, funk, jazz, soul and broken beat all feature to create a thoroughly refreshing, energetic and upbeat sound. Not one of the 'The Venus Album's 17 tracks should be skipped. Can you please recognise how brilliant this tune is. I'm so in to 'Get Out My Face' I recently made it my myspace tune. Now that is the definition of true love. If your Aunty keeps banging on about how much she hates hip hop, play her this.

Compatible - A bad-boy b-line, hilarious hook and simplistic kick combine with lots of scrummy bleepy noises to create one of the album's many highlights. More honest than the mirror the morning after, 'Compatible' is nothing short of genius. Check the lyrics.

Love Dat feat. Aaron Phiri - Where do they get their ideas from? Maybe they own a magic, never-ending box of light bulbs. You know, the type that hover over the heads of cartoon characters. I wanna hear this in a club full of cool cats with slick moves. Turn it up, really loud.
