What up Myspace!

It's been a while since I've blogged here.  I's been using more of facebook these days.   Mysapce & facebook are collecting some hard core statistics about the worlds communities through these pages that we so willingly place all of our info on... and we love it!  lol.

Anywho... I'm working on finishing my album "prepare for a future"... it should be ready for release May 2009.  Folks have asked me if they could make monetary donations... yes you can... click on the donations button on my home page and it will take you to pay pal... there you can support me with as much cash as you'd like.  The funds you donate will go towards recording, mixing and mastering the album. Thanks for wanting to support me... that makes me feel sweet!

Other than that I've been teaching vocal music to youth and teens around the bay area (practing your skills helps to keep information fresh in ya' dome...use what cha' got) and traveling with Linda Tillery and The Cutlrual Heritage Choir.  If you haven't had a chance to catch this legendary group please check the gig list for upcoming dates near you.

I've been wanting to visit New York, London, Brussels and South Africa ... need to set up gigs there...if you know of anything I should be looking to get involved in please let me know.

I've recently opened a Voice Studio called "DivinityVoice Music & Arts" in East Oakland, CA. DivinityVoice is a vocal studio where both beginning and advanced singers are encouraged to explore the human voice using experiential music concepts,basic musicianship and live performance.  DivinityVoice Music & Arts provides a creative space for singers to practice, create and present new and traditional music works.  DivinityVoice encourages forward thinking and basic music education as a tool for progressive living. 

If you are a vocalist and want to learn how to shed (practice) or just want to sing with other folks learn harmonies and musicianship (sight reading, composition, ear training, body and voice movement)... this is the place for you.  Stay tunned for some wonderful economical workshops starting this spring/summer 2009.  Also if you are interested in vocal, bass or piano lessons please contact me and I'll get you set up with some of the bay areas finest musicians.

There will be a Jam session to follow
10pm -1am.  Free b4 10pm $8 after.  I'm putting this together as a   monthly event...so keep this party in mind as your 3rd friday go out special.
