Current mood:TOPS
Category: Parties and Nightlife
My current effort to be newsletterly!

Am currently camped up in Brisbane, Australia mixing the last of the tracks on the new 'difficult second album'. Two years in the making: a lot of sweaty boys n rumpus room vintage amping, a sting of whooping coughyness spiced up by a bout of pneumonia, some sidetrackery in Eastern Europe and generally waaay too much thinking about the tinkerings of the Multiverse-apparent. Still, a person has to do *something* with their time, non?

Single will be out in OCTOBER meanwhile will be working up a touring set with yet another permutation of THE BLACK ALLES BAND (that's Alles pronounced 'Alice') while I hang out between bush dances jam shows & backgammon Sundays down in the Bega Valley in amongst all those sexy vox amps hammo organs and all manner of wild wild elektrick guitarry tarry nights. I might even learn how to pull a note out of a gumleaf while I'm at it.

AUSTRALIAN SHOW DATES

Fancy catching this nascent Black Alles constellation in action and are lucky enough to live in Our Nation's Capital or praps even luckier the Sapphire Coast? Here's an early headsup on dates for you:

FRIDAY 16th October TANJA HALL, Tanja, Sapphire Coast NSW 7.30pm $20/15 BYO
SATURDAY 17th October CORROBOREE PARK HALL, Canberra ACT 7.30pm $20/15 BYO

Both shows with the ace ace ace Heath Cullen & The 45s. We will be announcing Australian single tour dates in the next mailout.

NYMAGEE: A DAY IN THE DIRT FESTIVAL

A further headsup to the more intrepid festival-goer: if the coastal hippyfests have been leaving you feeling less than satisfied of late and you quite like a bit of red dirt & burr action why not check out NYMAGEE: A DAY IN THE DIRT? This one day annual festival is free, you can camp just about anywhere, and it features some of the wickedest coalface musicians in the country including THE RE-MAINS, THE AUSTRALIAN BEEFWEEK SHOW, NEIL MURRAY (Warumpi Band), THE JUNES, SARAH CARROLL, DEN HANRAHAN, SUZANNAH ESPIE, THE HOO HAAS, TONCHI, THE LONELY HORSE BAND, yours truly and so many more. IF you haven't heard'v some'v them bands you can take me at my word, *kwolittie*!

SATURDAY 31st October
- all day! Nymagee, Outback New South Wales. Googlemap it and turn up. (Oh and BYO EVERYTHING)
