Hello from Los Angeles after a monster-trip abroad!
It's wonderful being at home, even though it's just for five minutes. Like I said, there were many highlights on the road, and another one was the Contempoporanea Festival in Alburquerque (Spain). I not only ate an entire vat of gazpacho, but we ended up playing on a medieval cart track at the base of a desert mountain. We played underneath an illuminated ruin of a castle to 4,000 drunken Spaniards who may or may not have known who we were! It was magical.
My solo shows went well, and this August I will be playing again in Brighton at The Wedding Present's own "At the Edge of the Sea" all-day music fest. My friend Astrid Williamson will also be playing. Check out this link:
