SENSORIELLE SPA OPENS MONDAYS TO FAMILIES

Boulder, CO - Sensorielle Wellbeing Community Spa will open its doors to families beginning May 11, 2009.

The spa is introducing a variety of family-friendly treatments every Monday from 9-2. During family days, anyone can bring their baby to any treatment. The spa also welcomes children at the parents' discretion.

Infant massage is now available Mondays. Clients can learn how to massage their infants to keep them healthy and happy. Research shows overwhelmingly that infant massage is greatly beneficial to the growth and development of babies. It can help with sleep patterns, colic, digestion, and more. It helps to enhance the bond and communication between parent and child. Lauren Alexis Spivey, the spa's infant massage instructor, additionally specializes in prenatal and postpartum massage therapies.

The spa also offers Pediatric Chinese Medicine on Mondays. Pediatric "acupuncture" is a non-invasive treatment specially designed for children to treat an array of conditions including skin, behavioral, digestive, and acute illnesses. These half hour treatments also include recommendations for Chinese herbs. Amelia Vargas-Marin is certified in Chinese Herbs and Acupuncture. Her specialties include Fertility, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, and Facial Rejuvenation. The spa introduced acupuncture treatments the beginning of 2009, and is hiring at least one additional full-time acupuncturist with similar specialties.

"In keeping with our community philosophy, we have been preparing to launch family days for some time. We are all very excited to finally have the ability to introduce the program. Eventually, we plan to open more hours each week to families." said Jewl Petteway, Owner of Sensorielle.

Sensorielle is the first "pay-what-you-can" spa. Clients can set their price for any service, regardless of their financial situation. The spa has been in business since 2005, offering body and skin treatments that promote harmony with nature and holistic wellbeing. The original build-out was completed using non-toxic paint, bamboo, cork and sustainable materials wherever possible. The spa's philosophy is to care for the earth and humanity by offering a healing sanctuary and using green, organic products wherever possible.

Sensorielle offers massage, facials, detoxifying treatments, Ayurvedic treatments, Craniosacral, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine, prenatal and postpartum care, infant massage, Thai Massage, Couple's Massage Training, Reiki, Reflexology, Crystology, hand & foot treatments, and Acutonics.
