To be completely honest, we have no idea. It’s been nothing personal, and certainly not intentional. We’ve been super busy – both as a band and as individuals. We’ve had a lot of growing up to do since this summer, as we’re all busting our asses looking for work, trying to get ourselves out of debt (as are most local bands right now). In addition, we’re very busy working on some brand new songs. The writing process is slow, but we couldn’t be happier with how these pieces are coming out.
On a positive note, we ARE finally playing back in CT the day after Thanksgiving (Friday, November 27th) at the NEW South Street Stage. It should be an awesome show, as we’ve got Years Spent Cold coming from New Jersey to headline. Also playing are our friends from Surrender the Dance Floor, who recently signed to Statik Factory Records, and we’re super fucking stoked for them. If you haven’t seen/heard of them yet, come check them out. We’re also in the process of getting a lot more awesome bands/friends on this show the 27th, so keep an eye out for a flier real soon. ((Oh, and expect a slightly different show from YStS))
Looking a bit further into the future, we will be once again playing CT more frequently come 2010. We’re working really hard on these aforementioned new songs, and can’t wait to showcase them. Our sound is really beginning to evolve, as we strive to break free from the generic deathcore genre that we refuse to be stuck to. Don’t worry, shit’s still heavy as nuts, we’re simply trying to create a more unique sound for this music scene.
Thanks to everyone that’s been sticking around patiently, and letting us know that we’ve been missed - no matter how minutely it may be, it has meant a lot to us. We’ve missed the shit outta CT, so come hang out with us on November 27th, and let’s party.
