Funny, how the entertainment industry is based on emotions. If the viewer has an emotional experience tied to a performance, that performance temporarily becomes a part of their soul, even if it came from a person of little or no talent. The viewer then makes a choice about that entertainer, but very quickly (once the entertainer is unspoken of for a short while) forgets about the performer. It could be anything: dancing, composing, singing, acting, whatever. But I have learned that to form a true bond with your fan/viewer, you must be able to emotionally connect while having some sort of entertainment value. If it's one or the other, the effect/impact on the viewer is temporary. Any thought, artists out there?
