GARTH BROOKS WILL PLAY LAS VEGAS courtesy of Steve Wynn and Wynn Resort Properties. It will be a one man show (just Garth and his guitar) for 5 years, 15 weeks/yr and all tickets will be $125! The shows will start during the second weekend of the National Finals Rodeo (Dec.11). All shows will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday so Garth will be able to remain a major part of his daughters' lives and fulfill a promise to them to be there, at home, until they were all 18 and in college. Tickets go on-sale Saturday, October 24. Steve Wynn, the owner of the Wynn Resorts in Las Vegas, has pledged to take "evasive action" away from ticket scalpers so ticket prices don't get driven to extreme levels. Garth announced that he will officially come out of retirement and he and wife Trisha Yearwood will work these venues at times together but Trisha has her own very successful career.
GARTH BROOKS will help boost overall confidence in country music and sales will be driven again by the best selling artist in country music history. Brooks has sold over 150 million records and millions of downloads even after his retirement. Brooks left Liberty Records where he got his start to become an independent artist. He owns Pearl Records, Pearl Productions and other indie based parts of his career since leaving EMI years ago.
