D.A.R.E. Trainer Packages – With funding from the AT&T Foundation, iKeepSafe and D.A.R.E. are creating Trainer Packages for use by 5000 DARE Officers in schools worldwide. The Trainer Package content, including educational curricula for grades 1-5 and associated parent presentation, was designed by iKeepSafe in collaboration with Symantec and Yahoo. The Package will be integrated into the DARE system at their Annual International Conference in San Antonio, TX in August 2008. A comprehensive research project will track all activities and their outcomes. Click here for more details.

Attorneys General Presentations – Comcast has sponsored Internet safety initiatives in three states. This project, led by Attorneys General Mike Cox (Michigan), Rob McKenna (Washington), and Bob McDonnell (Virginia), brought health and safety content into schools for 1st – 4th grades, provided parent information, and was reported by multiple media outlets. According to the Michigan Cyber Safety Initiative Report Card, the Michigan event alone reached over 200,000 children and their parents.

Utah/Idaho Initiative – In this iKeepSafe pilot project funded by the Qwest Foundation, our Regional Facilitator will coordinate with the Safe & Drug Free Schools Program to distribute the Faux Paw® Book Series to elementary schools in Utah (600) and in Idaho (350) and will direct our network of PTA and AMA Alliance volunteers to make on-site Internet safety presentations to 1st through 5th grade students, their teachers, and parents. Idaho First Lady Lori Otter, an iKeepSafe Coalition participant, will endorse, co-brand, and participate in the project.

Public Service Announcement (PSA) – Fox Interactive Media joined with iKeepSafe to release a broadcast PSA geared at encouraging parents to talk with teens about their Internet use and help them to make smart decisions to be safe online. The PSA ran for eight weeks on all Fox television stations directing viewers to iKeepSafe.org. Click here to view the "Don't Stop the Dialogue" PSA.
