Category: Dreams and the Supernatural
Hey Guys,

Long time no see....

Life has been - hectic.

Since we have a little over a 100 comics to chose from, Nate and I have thought about printing a book to sell on the net.  The problem is two-fold.  Both of us want the book to be very slick - a coffee table type of thing we can be proud of.  Well, that's expensive to make.  We also know that most of the people who buy the thing will want to cut out there favorites to hang on the wall, the frig or wherever.   So the book has to have perforated pages to make this easy.  Again - not cheap.

Second, we're not sure if anyone would actually buy it.  We know the strip touched many of you, but how many would actually plop down $15 or so to buy our first compilation?

Don't know -

So, I thought I would put this out to see what kind of interest there is.  You don't have to commit now - we're not taking orders or anything - just casting a net to see if anyone is interested.

Let me know....

****UPDATE****

Okay - looks like we're going to do it.  Give me some time to find a nice printer and I'll get back to you all soon.  Thanks for your input and great advice.

I think its a great idea. We would definately buy one or two, would make a great gift.

However, just an opinion here.... When I buy a book, especially a nice one, the last thing I would do is rip out the pages to stick on the fridge. Is there some other way to get the strips up on a fridge. Like if you buy the book,  it comes with a unique code that will get you access to a website that has the same images you can print out?  Just a thought.

I agree with Yeti, I think perforated pages would take down the vaue of the book. I like the link idea.  I wouldn't want to tear the book all up either.

I think a coffee table book is a good idea, but how many people do you know spend 15 bucks on a coffee table book and then cut out pieces of it to hang on the fridge? Comic strip book or not. That's what the newspaper is for.

Make the book. Also pick 15  strips upload them to myspae w/ easy to follow dotted lines around them so people can print THOSE and cut them out of their own paper to hang on the fridge. Boo-ya.

Oh... I just read the comments. Having a special code to get to the printable strips is a much better idea. That way only loyal customers get the option. Yeah.

Yeah, I think Wes's parents would enjoy it. And hey, if people want to rip up a perfectly good book, I would make them cut it out themselves. Over the years (or weeks with kids) , a perforated page will probably start to tear on its own, too.

I still like my Christmas wrapping paper idea.

You know we'd snag one up.  I'd probably get an extra one for Spencer to "put away" until he's older. The whole name thing..... when he reaches an age to really appreciate that, I'd like him to have it.

YESHUA IS LORD

Shalom Guys i been wondering about you all where you all have been? How come you post no more Spencer comics anymore? Well your thought on a book, I would say go for it. Pray on it and put in Gods hands that He will open the door for the book and the finances. Just a short story to share. The people who write the book's *Chicken Soup for the Soul, they had to go through at least 10 publishers, before someone said ok we print your book's. They were turned down by all the others. There thought and words were to them, no one wants to read that. How wrong they were and i know they are kicking themself in the rear now, for not publishing this guy books. This guys are selling thousand or even millions of books now. Because people to want to read this kind of things. Many of us God fearing and believing people, are tired of seeing all this trashy stuff that is being published now days. We want to see clean stuff and that will makes us laugh and lift our spirits. So again GO FO IT. Even try to contact this guys who wrote the books, * Chicken Soup for the Soul. And see if they can direct you in the right direction how to get your book published. All the best and all the blessings in your publishing and search. I know God hears our prayers. So trust HIM that He will open the doors. One saying i always like to say is, *If you doubt, you will to without.

I like the perforated pages idea.
I understand it can be expensive but there are book publishers that charge you only for what you order.

I would buy one, If I liked the book, I would buy more and give them away as little gifts.
