I went to Cleveland recently to hear and meet the "Strawbs"...

Don't discount Strawbs!!!  I loved them in the 70's and when they came back to the U.S. in 2003, I went to see them on a lark and I've been a huge fan ever since.   They're STILL fabulous--electric OR their newer format, acoustic.

yes...they are very talented!...the "Hero & Heroine" album was a classic!  they are coming back to the US with Oliver Wakeman on keys (next tour...Rick Wakeman's son)...I will see them then too...Chas Cronk (the bass player) and I are good friends...

In '04 I emailed a local venue and urged them to book The Strawbs.
Lo and behold they did! And in October 2004, I got my first chance to see
a band I've listened to and admired since the early '70s! They were and are amazing!

Even got Dave to autograph the cover of my vinyl of "Old School Songs" after the show!

The Strawbs have got 2 b 1 of the most underrated bands of all time - caught an acoustic show of theirs here in San Diego a couple of years back - what a show! Please pass on good wishes to Chas.
