Who Gives Kudos:

Friday, September 19, 2008
Sweat's saltwater reef tank was more than just a tank... it was a custom, living art installation by marine biologists and aquaculture artists CORALMORPHOLOGIC. Initially set up in November 2007, it flourished under their care and brought immeasurable joy and tranquility to Sweat's staff and patrons. The tank was senselessly destroyed during a break-in on September 15, 2008.

Happily, they managed to save many of the discosoma, our porcelain crab, and both harlequin serpent stars. However the clownfish, blennie, orchid dottyback, gobies, nudibranchs, xenia and many other species sadly did not make it. RIP!

this is what saddened me the most. material is one thing, but living creatures? that's just savagery.
