I've been scanning a lot of pictures onto my computer lately so that I can put them in albums on here and my TagWorld page. I've also been planning to store a lot of them on CD in the hopes that they may last longer. Anyway…needless to say…browsing through literally hundreds (if not thousands) of pictures starts the memories flowing. How true it is that "a picture is worth a thousand words". I came across this one and thought I'd share it's special meaning to me and my husband. You may find it kind of eerie or may think "it's just a double exposed picture! So what?" Form your own opinion…I'll leave you with mine.

The guy in the blue plaid shirt was my husband's foster father. The one in the white is my husband. Before we were married, we were living on his foster father's farm with him. He was very depressed and they diagnosed him with Bipolar. He had an automatic 35 mm camera that didn't wind the film completely into the canister when it was wound off. I had taken the picture of him holding "Buck", our Springer Spaniel and his Pomeranian "Teddy" was on the floor beside him. He was laying on the couch in one of his very depressed states. The picture of Stanley "Pete" Zunn was taken in Dec of 1990. In January of 1991 he went to Florida to visit his sister and had taken his camera. When he returned from FL, he shot and killed himself. A month later, I went to use his camera on pictures of the farm. He had new rolls in the camera case and I grabbed what I "thought" was a new roll. I took the picture of Michael laying on the same couch with "Buck" laying on top of him and "Megan" the cat on the back of the couch behind him. Michael was in a very depressed state at that time himself over the death of "Pete" and the manner in which he died. Imagine how my heart stopped when I developed these pictures and found this image! Of all the pictures taken the first time and the second time on the same roll, what are the odds that these two would end up double exposed over each other?! It seemed to me as though it was "Pete" trying to reach out and comfort Michael from beyond.
