Earth Stood Still's long hiatus is coming to an end! We extend the deepest possible thanks to all of our old fans who've been waiting patiently for the last year and a half, and of course to all of our new friends we've met on Myspace, or at Smith's, the Rainbow Cafe, or Micheline's. Without you we probably would've given up during the long, punishing recording process...but now the album's done, it's fucking great, and we can't wait for ya'll to hear it!
We've got a couple shows coming up, and you can find all the info on our page, but the big one obviously is the record release party. The Silent Barn is probably our favorite new venue in New York...it's quite literally just a big house that's been turned into a venue. We will be playing in the kitchen. And it will be AWESOME! We wanted to actually throw a PARTY for all of our fans as opposed to a show at some club with 30$ beers. Directions can be found on our page, stay tuned for times and other bands!
Also, on the 16th, we'll be returning to Micheline's to help promote the record release. The guys who are booking us there and at the Barn know how to throw a great party, it should be insane! This is a sweet little spot in Bushwick, we had a show there a few months ago, we hope to see some of you there!
Finally, each of these shows will feature a brand new song, "For the Sake of Sound", one of our favorite tunes we've ever written.
