The G's Up, Ho's Down at First Unitarian Church Sept. 17 You’ve already shared puke and first album (MC Hammer via Adams Family soundtrack) stories from our recent interview with The G, and they were also September's winners for Artist(s) of the Month so you should be quite familiar with them by now. Well, you can share more moments with The G when they play their biggest show to date tonight at First Unitarian Church with the verbosely named And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead and Secret Machines. Their debut album “Hold My Gold” has brought them comparisons with the likes of Hum and Dinosaur Jr. so be sure to show up early because you don’t want to miss their lo-fi experimental pop that is fueled by just a tinge of Jim Beam (or whole lot of it depending on the night). First Unitarian Church, 2125 Chestnut St., 8:30pm, $12, All Agesmyspace.com/thegdudes - Bill McThrill
