What an amazing MLK Day we had. 34 volunteers came out in full-force to help a local shelter with recovery after their pipes burst due to the freezing cold weather. Many of the volunteers have the blisters to prove their hard work! We pulled carpet and hauled furniture to the dump - there was a great deal of loss. We also weatherized windows and sorted donations. Everyone's great attitude was astounding! I'm so happy we were able to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in this way. We were one of more than 12,000 projects going on around the nation, and we joined hundreds of thousands of volunteers working hard in our communities. Thanks to everyone who came out to help, and to find more volunteer opportunities, go to
