Thanks for everyone for your support of the Magik*Magik Orchestra in 2008!

2008 saw 3 sold out shows in all sized venues with a furious combination of performers and composers across the board.

From 2 Foot Yard to Jonny Greenwood, Hilary Hahn to John Adams, Tom Brosseau to Lisa Bielawa, Arvo Part to Hauschka, Charles Ives to William Winant, Mason Bates to Joan Jeanrenaud, Fred Frith to Gloria Justen, Magik*Magik spread its net across numerous genres and humbly shared the stage with some of today's most revered performers.

A special thank you to conductor Beni Shwartz for his leadership, Carla Kihlstedt for her all around personal musical-hero-ship, Terra Reneau for helping bring Magik off the page and onto the stage, John Vanderslice & Joel Hamilton for providing support from the studio world, Luciano Chessa for allowing generous use of that crazy musical encyclopedia in his brain, and to all the instrumentalists/singers who performed in the orchestra this year, without whose dedication this project simply could not happen.
