That means "Long Live Chinese People". Lol. We really do have enough of them huh? *chuckles*

Are you guys watching the Olympics!? Are you watching it!!??

At this moment in time, and it's the first time I'm saying this, I am proud to be Chinese.

Yea I come from Malaysia, but I'm Chinese. My ancestors from China went to Malaysia and so did the ancestors of... oh I don't know, all the Chinese which is 30% of the population in Malaysia.

I rarely associate myself with the Chinese by name. I mean, I definitely eat/make Chinese food, I celebrate Chinese holidays and stuff but when people ask, I'm Malaysian. Today... today I shall call myself Malaysian-Chinese.

It's hard to be proud of Chinese people when a lot of them lack the most basic sense of courtesy and have really bad manners. Spitting by the roadside, talking really loudly, etc. I'm glad I wasn't raised that way.

But today, I'm gonna overlook all of that. And say...

Did you guys see the lights and drums during the countdown? I cannot imagine how much work that takes. To coordinate hundreds or even thousands to get that down. And I am so impressed with the engineering and technology.

And so right this moment, just this moment, I'm proud to say that I can speak their language, that I can read and write Chinese characters, that I understand Chinese history and its culture, that I've been to China and that I live the Chinese way (well, somewhat.. =P). It's disgusting how Americanized I am now. Not that it's disgusting to be Americanized, it's great. See... that's disgusting, that I don't even care that I'm slowly - very slowly, in my defense - losing some of my culture. My mom's gonna have a fit when she sees me. Haha.

Omg. They're drawing a freaking painting called "Shan, Shui" with people!!! Dancing people. Lol. I have this expression on my face right now that you would so want to see and laugh at. *chuckles*

Okay. The commentators are annoying me. There are people who can speak great English and still pronounce the Chinese words. But... Oh I take that back. One of them speaks great Chinese. Hehe. My bad.

Anyway, I am waiting for the singing performances. I wonder if it's over already. I hope Wang Lee Hom's song got picked to be the official Olympics song.

Okay. The boxes thing. With people. This is freaking me out somewhat. Although, whoever who's not watching this is missing out. You have to somehow watch it. Go YouTube or whatever. Watch. It.

Okay bye. I don't want to miss anything. =)

Update: Okay why the HECK Malaysia sent their athletes wearing THAT!? *covers face* The baju kurung and songkok and... *speechless* And the color is so hedious wei! Omg. Why can't they go with the blue, red, white and yellow tracksuits? *sigh*
