It's the first Monday of 2009... and the first Sunday night AGK show of the year was a ton of fun! Thanks to everyone who attended and made it the success that it was. It marked the return of Jenna to the show, plus Caroline's debut, awesome performances by many of the AGK regulars, and a bit of silliness here and there punctuated by an unusual body piercing that had some of us on the AGK text list in stitches.

Going from memory, our singer list looked like this: Jenna, Caroline, Kim, Diana, Shay, Ryan, Denise, Noelle, Andy, Cameron, Kyle, Tina, Jeff, and Matt. Kelli came down to hang out with us, as well as some other cool people that I'm sure the names are escaping me at 3am. Last night continued what's been a great string of Sunday nights that has carried over since the holiday season really began. It's been our busiest night of the three weekly shows, and that's a testament to all of my singers and the people that they've been telling about the AGK experience. Thanks to each and every one of you.

I have a few things to share with you:

1. Julie Cole from Cole Digital-- the company that graciously took pictures of and video of AGK during May of last year-- has posted HD performances of some of the singers on her YouTube page (http://www.youtube.com/user/JulieJab3) for everyone to see. Singers include Stephanie (we missed you last night... get well soon!), Kim, Denise, Ryan, King George, and more. I encourage all of you to check these vids out, and I congratulate all of the performers on these solid performances. (Even if Ryan doesn't like his.)

2. Next Sunday night, January 11th, will be a special night as one of our singers (Jenna) will be celebrating her birthday with AGK as a backdrop for her special night. I can't tell you how much it means to me to have some of our singers (Jay and Noelle, most recently) make the decision to celebrate their birthdays with the AGK family. I can tell you that mine (April 22) is on a Wednesday night this year... so I look forward to hopefully having many of you there to ring in 37 with me. (It's never too early to start planning!)

3. Don't forget about Ranch Idol Night on Wednesday, January 14th! $25 is up for grabs, as always, and we're hoping to duplicate the fun and success that we had last year. Look for a blog entry with full details later this week. Unlike last year, this will be a one-song event, rather than 2 songs each, in order to keep the evening moving along.

Before I wrap things up, I want to also thank Kelli, Diana, and Ryan for making the trip to Headquarters Bar & Grill for my Saturday night show. There was a little bit of everything during that event, from 21st birthday drama to popping balloons, to, oh yes... a little singing here and there. Rumor has it that at least one AGK regular will be making her inaugural trip to Agawam this Saturday night... maybe I can convince a few others to come out as well!

That's about it from here. I have some personal things that I'm dealing with behind the scenes which may be occupying my time over the next couple of days... but I'm looking forward to getting back to the Ranch on Wednesday night and seeing everyone. It'll certainly be nice to have a full week's worth of shows again for the first time in three weeks.

I love you all... thanks for continuing to support Anything Goes Karaoke. I never imagined that the show would see the kind of success that it's seeing, and it's all because of you... whether you sing or just hang out and enjoy the craziness. I can't put into words how touching it is to see so many of you that have become fans of this show; I've always dreamed about running a show like this and making so many people smile. It's probably the closest that I'll ever get to being a rockstar, myself... and being able to sing and share the stage with so many awesome and genuine people just thrills me beyond description.

OK, enough sappy stuff... but I hope that you all know-- to a person-- how important and special that I think you are.
