Contest rules:1.
The contest is open to people ages 18 and up.
2. The prize must be accepted as awarded.
3. Decisions of the contest judges are final - no substitutions will be available.
4. By claiming the prize, the winner authorizes the use, without
additional compensation of his or her name and/or likeness and/or
voice/photograph and municipality of residence for promotion and/or
advertising purposes in any manner and in any medium (including without
limitation, radio broadcasts, newspapers and other publications and in
television or film releases, slides, videotape, distribution over the
internet and picture date storage) which Hanscrew Records and Good Looking Boy may deem appropriate.
5. In accepting the prize the winner acknowledges that Hanscrew Records and Good Looking Boy may not be held liable
for any loss, damages or injury associated with accepting or using this
prize(s).
6. Hanscrew Records and Good Looking Boy retain the rights,
in its absolute and sole discretion, to make substitutions of
equivalent kind or approximate value in the event of the unavailability
of any prize or component of the prize for any reason whatsoever.
7. This contest is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws.
8. Hanscrew Records and Good Looking Boy reserve the right
to withdraw or terminate this contest at any time without prior notice.
9. Approximate value of prizes vary.
10. Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or
offer and may not be separated and must be accepted as awarded, cash
equivalent substitution will not be available. Multiple submissions are
allowed per person, but each submission must be a separate video.
11. The contest ends on July 19th, 2009.To be eligible, entries must
be completed and received on or by July 19th,2009.
Winners will be selected and notified via email by August 19th, 2009.
Before you submit your finished track, please read the
official contest terms and conditions. By submitting your track you
(the Entrant) hereby agree, confirm, represent and warrant that:
1. all rights in and to any submitted content ("Songs") using
the instrumental track ("the Instrumental") created by the Entrant
shall be owned by Hanscrew Records & Good Looking Boy ("Host") and to the extent necessary the Entrant hereby assigns
all rights in the creation of the Song to Host throughout the Universe
for the full life of copyright and any and all extensions and renewals
thereof. If requested by Host, the Entrant shall complete and sign a
formal assignment of copyright to give effect to the foregoing;
2. all rights in and to any versions of the original sound
recording of the instrumental ("the Instrumental") created by the
Entrant shall be owned by Host and to the extent necessary the Entrant
hereby assigns all rights in the creation of the Song to Host
throughout the Universe for the full life of copyright and any and all
extensions and renewals there. If requested by Host, the Entrant shall
complete and sign a formal assignment of copyright to give effect to
the foregoing;
3. the Entrant will not acquire a copyright interest in the Song by virtue of creating a version of the Song;
4. the Entrant will not use the Instrumental otherwise than to create versions of the Song for entry into this contest;
5. the Song does not incorporate any samples or other materials
which are subject to third party proprietary rights or otherwise
infringe the rights of any third party;
6. the Song is not obscene, defamatory, libelous, threatening,
harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or encouraging of
conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, gives rise to
civil liability, or violate any law;
7. the Entrant will not exploit, or allow others to exploit,
the Song created by the Entrant without seeking the prior approval of
Host. Accordingly, if the Entrant wishes to use their Remix outside of
this Promotion they should send full details to: goodlookingboymusic@googlemail.com;
and
8. by submitting Remixes to this contest, the Entrant agrees
to release and hold harmless Apple Inc and all other digital retailers
from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of such
submissions or Entrant’s participation in the promotion.
In submitting Songs for this contest the Entrant confirms and
warrants that they have full power and authority to enter into this
agreement and hereby indemnify Host from and against any and all costs
and damages incurred as a result of any breach of the representations
and warranties made by the Entrant herein.
Host reserves the right, in its absolute discretion, to remove
Songs from the contest that it deems offensive or inappropriate and/or
Songs that breach any of the above terms and conditions.
