Hospital Fan Mail.......

Am listening to your group on the net whilst I type this. Don't know what to say mate. It's beyond anything within my experience. Can detect the musicianship though. It's certainly light-years ahead of Hip-Hop in that regard. I think Hip-Hop is really the negation of music. Music's final denouement. One thing though; where does all the anger you guys display, come from? Can't make out any of the lyrics of course, but I don't suppose I'm meant to.

It's all totally alien to me, I can't really judge it. The volume of sound, the aggression, the blatant in~your~face attitude are things that I can't empathise with. Where is the gentleness, the quiet, the restraint, the order within form; these are qualities all great music displays in one form or another. Also, as you have told me, these pieces are never played by any other group, so your music is destined for oblivion. If rock groups only play their own music, nothing they create will last. The test of good music is whether it stands the test of time. IT HAS TO BE PLAYED AND PLAYABLE BY OTHERS.

Would still like to hear your CD though. Listening to music on small speakers attached to computers is not what it's all about. Do let me know how I can get a copy of your CD when it comes out. I think you are talented musicians, it would indeed be a shame if you confined your efforts to the musical byway you are presently traversing.
