My goodness, what a session ! Thanks for posting it.




If she's not high right then, she is certainly showing the sad, sad signs of having been wasted a lot over a lifetime. We know this to be fact.




And yet. . . that incredible voice flows so effortlessy. An organic, almost alien intelligence to the phrasing and tonal choices that you know is coming without thought or calculation. It just flows from raw talent...An even rawer heart.




She exudes pain. You just want to reach out and hold her.




For those of us who live for this music, watching this unhappy genius at work is both excruciating and exhilerating at the same time.




Peculiar sensation.




It is always so much easier to listen to her than to watch and listen to her.




I said a prayer for her this evening after watching this clip.
