I really am not kidding when I say "On the go", which may explain why I've been bad about returning emails. Bad, bad, bad... So now I'll address this one here:
Haena,
I hope this finds you well and enjoying the various spring festivities.
Are you going to re-release any of the material not currently available? (Even as digital or white label CDRs?)
Any plans to come to LA with a band, laptop, or otherwise anytime soon?
Switching percussion traditions and topic... Zarbang will be at Skirball Perfroming Arts on May 17th. I really recommend seeing & hearing them.
Best regards, A
While it remains a possibility, there are no plans as of yet to re-release any of Xtatika's back catalogue of music in the near future. Somewhere down the line I would like to see to releasing digital B-sides, but right now we have an album of all new material in the pipeline for summer '08 that's demanding our full attention. I can't wait for these songs to be heard. And I'm talking omg full circle. Meanwhile, I do regard and appreciate everyone's patience on this. Your patience will be justly rewarded.
I was just in LA, mostly taking a mini-vay-k, which was definitely time well-spent. SoCal was in full bloom, the air was redolent and fresh. Big thanks and shouts to my peeps for showing me a Fabulous Time -- I'm totally looking forward to returning to LA on tour later this October.
Zarbang are our friends!! And they're awesome -- I enjoy their percussion grooves which are spot on.
