Dear Readers,

First, I would like to welcome you to my MySpace page. Hopefully you have read my bio and looked over my page so you have some idea who I am and what I do. As to why I'm here, well, yes, there is a certain amount of blatant self-promotion involved. More than that, I here to share my music, share my love of music, and to introduce you to some of great artists I've found over the years through writing reviews for Muse's Muse.

I am also hoping to find others to collaborate with. I am looking to connect with other musicians, singers, songwriters, filmmakers, artists, dancers, producers, anyone who has an artistic vision that would benefit from some original music. Certainly, music and composition can be and have been a solo endeavor, but there is a synergy which exists when creative minds work together toward a common purpose. Having my opportunities limited by my geography, I am hoping MySpace provides fertile ground where new projects can grow.

I have put some music up on my page for your listening pleasure. These are all at least a couple of years old, but I wanted to have something up on the page while I work on new material. The Bridge and The Boardwalk were written several years ago. They were inspired by some major changes in my life that were going on at the time. The Key is piece I originally wrote for a TV commercial, but alas, it never saw the light of day. I liked the piece so I expanded it and kept it in my bag of tricks. Fernando's Theme was written for a documentary on the life of the late ballet dancer/choreographer/director Fernando Bujones. The current release date for the film is December 7. This is the latest in a long list of release dates, so don't put any money on it actually being released on that date. I will let you know as we approach the actual release.

As I write this, we are heading into our third day of wind and rain courtesy of TS Fay. Yeah, it was fun for a few hours, but it is really getting old. There is flooding in communities all around us from the record rainfall, but fortunately we have been spared the worst of it. That said, the storm is far from over, so we will have to see how things turn out in the end.

If you are still reading this and haven't navigated away in search of something more interesting, thank you for stopping by and checking out my music and my words. Come back again. I will be posting more music and I will be recommending some other artists for you to listen to.

Thanks,

JJ Biener
