Still here. Still alive. Still pissed off beyond reason.

Recently we did another Cooperative Medical Assistance mission to Qala Hashmatkhan in Kabul. We treated 6,283 people in about 12 hours over 2 days. These poor people- some of the kids were so sick they could barely walk. One man carried his son for 5 miles on his back to see the doctors, and the dad was about 60 years old and the son was in his 40s. Unbelievable. I will post some pics of the whole thing soon. I also made a 12-minute movie about it. Anyone that wants it, send me your address so I can mail it on a CD. It will break your heart to see all the children. It is something else to stand in the middle of 300 children, and all of them staring at you in wide-eyed wonder as they try to figure out what you are. The kids see our humvees rolling up and they follow us, waving, shouting 'how are you?' as best they can, giving us the thumbs-up sign, and asking for water.

This country has really taxed my patience in humanity. I will quote my daughter- 'Thank God I was born an American.' Those of you who complain about the government all the time, and think we should just open our arms to every illegal jerk out there, you should come to this country and look around for a month. You will totally change everything you believe about the 'goodness' of people, and you will never vote democrat again. Anyone who thinks we can 'all just get along' needs to come here and see the true evil of man, and the apathy of humankind.

Is it true Obama refused to place his hand over his heart and recite the Pledge of Allegience? Is it? He did that? FUCK THAT GUY. How DARE he insult every man and woman that has shed blood for his right to live in America free? Obama, you bastard selfish piece of shit. Do that shit in front of me, you asshole. Who the hell would vote for that kind of arrogance and hypocrisy?

There is a reason we kill our enemies. There is a reason we seperate church and state. There is a reason we are grounded in Judeo-Christian morals and ethics.

Here's one for you- one of our terps is real religious. He claims that every religion can be practiced in Afghanistan (to which every other terp around him laughed hysterically). He told us that Mohammad had once split the moon into two halves to prove he was a true prophet, and the terp 'saw the pictures of the crack in the moon.'

"OK," I said. "Who took the pictures?"

  "The first Russian that landed on the moon." he replied.

  "Hey brother, I hate to piss on your picnic, but the Russians never got to the moon. In fact, the only ones to ever get there are the Americans (you conspiracy morons who still doubt this are uneducated and have no life). In fact, we have been there something like 11 times, and we have photographed the entire moon, and there IS NO CRACK."

  He refused to believe me. He stood there and told me that yes, the Russians got there first. One of the sergeants on my team then said "See? We will never fix this place when the most educated people in the country think the moon was split in two by Mohammad and the Russians got there first."

I have to agree with him. Is this what Islam thinks? Holy shit.

Please keep me in prayer. I am still going through an incredible trial in my life right now. I am unclear about the future. I am constantly depressed, and I miss my wife.
