To quote Mr. Fresh Prince himself "Now this is the story all about how, My life got flipped, turned upside down, And Id like to take a minute just sit right there, Ill tell you how I became the prince of a town called bel-air"

Well I might not have become the prince of Bel Air, but life has done a little flip. I was "let go" from my job 2 weeks ago today, the good ol USofA economy claimed another victim. While I do have some prospective future employment options, nothing has been set as an absolute. I sit and contimplate all options and wait for unemployment to kick in, one option just stood glaring me in the face unable to be ignored.

SIGN 1 My aunts/uncles have been planing a trip to ireland for like 3 years now. I was asked if I could go a long time ago, but due to work commitments I couldn’t. They are all retired and are planning to spend 6 weeks in the land of leprechauns, starting this coming weekend. They’ve rented the Kilcomane House that overlooks the sea in Cork. SIGN 2 So the weekend after my position was eliminated, I picked up an LA Times to check out the jobs the travel section had the big bold words of IRELAND. SIGN 3 My beautiful HDTV was playing the HD PBS stations and on it was nonstop Ireland travel videos and Irish singers that whole week leading up to my last days of work. SIGN 4 My aunt called me and said sometimes God tells you to take a break and enjoy life. So come to ireland, everything is already paid for SIGN 5 searching plane tickets for a 1.5 week trip from LAX to SNN(Shannon Ireland) was only 500! I can’t even fly from LAX to JFK for that on such short notice.

So in conclusion, I’d be dumb to ignore all of these signs. When is an opportunity like this going to come around again. So to clear my head, relax and take care of "Amanda" for one, in 10 days I’m taking a little vacation to Ireland, drink some Irish Whiskey, Eat some Meat and Potatoes and Enjoy my Irish heritage. My apt., job search and everything else will be waiting for me when I come back....
