So the good news is that we've flipped back to the original release plan.  That's: single late Jan, album early Feb, with a special 'secret' release to those on the mailing list before Christmas.

It's being manufactured now, with 11 lyrics-based videos underway.

Mailing list members will be able to watch videos for the whole album on the secret Christmas pre-sale page, so you'll be able to hear the album before you buy it, at the start of December!

Just listening to the master CD before I post it off for manufacture... sounds nice, I've been listening to mp3 versions up to now, and this sounds richer and clearer.  There's quite an improvement in production quality since Ooberman recordings I think...

Oh, RC1 sounds great! i now curious about final version! After few listens ive disliked some tracks but after 5-6 repeat listenings i like all tracks :)

In most cases mp3 sounds worse than original (wave, aiff) records!
320kbit LAME mp3 have cutoff above 20khz... but only dolphins can hear above :)

Oops, now you're rubbing their noses in it, that you have it before anyone else, but good job you like it, it would look bad seeing a bad review at this stage :-)

In fact after getting up to RC7 we've almost gone exactly back to the RC1 version, which had a bit of a relaxed, stately calm to the sound compared to later versions that got a bit hyped up with compression.  There are subtle improvements, mainly to London Town (it kicks in a bit more firmly and volume levels have been evened out a bit) and The Old Cottage (in which an organ that cut off suddenly and annoyed Sophia now fades out gracefully).

Better production quality than Ooberman? ace I'm on your mailing list definitely buying one christmas pre sale! Is there any difference in early copies to the actual release date ones?
