Hey all,
Been super busy, so I haven't been able to post many updates. but I just posted a rough mix of one of the songs from the album, 'All I Want is You.' Be sure to check it out, post your comments, let us know what you think!
Time for an album update. The drums are now completely done! A good thing too since Julien has headed off on a vacation to Thailand (more on this later). The last few days have been great, Gaetan has been in recording bass tracks the last three days, and we're more than half done his tracks now too. A Fall release of the album is still the plan.
And we've got some more help for the album now as well. We recently met a sound engineer by the name of Ratu from New Zealand. He's in Canada for the year, and he's offered to help us mix our album. We're incredibly excited; he's not only an incredibly good soul, he's also very good at what he does. The last project he was involved with was mixing sound for John Mayer's tour of Australia. Can't wait to work with him.
So with Julien gone for the summer, an old friend of ours, Kelly Bitner of Stereotrap, will be playing with us this summer. He's a five year vet of the recording and touring life, and our first rehearsal with him went really well. He'll also be helping us with our album, doing some co-producing and mixing with us. The more hands on deck the better.
