Current mood:  blah
Category: Life

First I want to congratulate all of you that voted for President Obama.  Those who know me know my politics, my guy didn't pull it off.  Yet, I will concede that it is a time for change.  It had to happen, that's how cycles work.  He is now my  President and I will respect that.

Yes this was an historical election.  For me as I watched him, I remembered watching Martin Luther King and hearing his words "A time when a man is judged not by his skin color, but by his character".  So this my friends is really an amazing time for us.

Now reality, you got to get up off your ass and go to work.  The party's over kids, now you have to do more.  Join the Peace Corps, what, dude, no. LOLOL.  You didn't say that, you didn't say I have to sacrifice, we won.

I'm a comic, plain and simple, and I will write the jokes, don't think I won't.  I believe that President Obama is a good man, and that he believes in this country.  Time will tell if he is a good President.  But he's a guy, there may be a black man in the White House, but it's still a guy.

I'm still gonna have to prove that I'm as good as any male comic, or that I'm not like any other female comic.  I'm sure clubs will still have a 2-20 ratio of male acts compared to female acts.  Nothing is going to change for me, nothing.  I'm still out of a truck because of the hurricane.  I still cannot finance a truck because I cannot prove employment, I work in a cash business.  That will not change.

If he would have put Hillary Clinton has Vice President, then, maybe things would really change, but he got a guy. Another guy.  So basically there will be no change, not for me anyway.  It will still be a pissing contests in the world leadership.

So for me it's just Wednesday, not really all that different than last Wednesday.  When we have a woman in the big seat, now that to me will be change, total change.  But until then, it's just Wednesday.

Carol I am definitely sorry to hear about your transportation problem. That is shitty!

I won't call you Squishman if you don't call me Carol. It's Caroline. Nissan or Mazda trucks, they have always been good to me.

I'm into getting a truck without having a monthly note. I have not had one in years and I don't want to start now. Hybrid's are good trucks, I have no problem with that at all. They are just out of my price range. I may have a bead on a nice 2000 Chevy Blazer. I'm going look at it tomorrow.

Well Caroline, if it's any consolation, I can't refinance my truck to a better interest rate because my man lost his j-o-b! And we had income we could prove... now it's half the income. And me, personally - men are really pissing me off right about now!!!

Okay girl, you just put two people together that can "smile and gut you" at the same time. Everyone is just so excited about the new President, wait until he gets out of the top secret briefings, lololol. "Oh Shit, I didn't know that", Good luck Mr. President. Look, bottom line we still have one and half white guys in the White House.

Hi Caroline.
I agree with you on this issue.Obama was not my choice either but life goes on......He has a lot of problems ahead of him. Working with the democratic Congress that President Bush worked with may be easier for him. Congress is not worried about the average family and the President usually gets blamed for everything. Therefore, President Obama will inherit a nest of dirty politicians to deal with. Hope he has better luck than President Bush. But I still feel that John McCain would have been more experienced and loyal to this country. He has proven himself as a SOLDIER, FAMILY MAN, POLITICIAN AND PATRIOT. God Bless America!!! I wonder how our soldiers feel.Any feedback from them on the election? I am very curious about that.

Hope you are doing well...we are still working on our home damaged by Hurricane Ike. We should be back in by two weeks.

You are the best....

I haven't personally heard from the military, but I have read that some were not pleased. They will respect him, he is now Commander in Chief, as I will. The news this morning is comparing him to John F. Kennedy. "Will Camelot Return to the White House"? LOL, funny they said that those of us back then that voted for Kennedy were young and idealistic. And we were. Funny thing is some will have to google John F. Kennedy. Hope to see you soon.

Guys always take the gold in pissing contests, at least for distance. Nice to hear your rational and patriotic view on the results, not unlike the guy for whom you voted.
