First I want to congratulate all of you that voted for President Obama. Those who know me know my politics, my guy didn't pull it off. Yet, I will concede that it is a time for change. It had to happen, that's how cycles work. He is now my President and I will respect that.
Yes this was an historical election. For me as I watched him, I remembered watching Martin Luther King and hearing his words "A time when a man is judged not by his skin color, but by his character". So this my friends is really an amazing time for us.
Now reality, you got to get up off your ass and go to work. The party's over kids, now you have to do more. Join the Peace Corps, what, dude, no. LOLOL. You didn't say that, you didn't say I have to sacrifice, we won.
I'm a comic, plain and simple, and I will write the jokes, don't think I won't. I believe that President Obama is a good man, and that he believes in this country. Time will tell if he is a good President. But he's a guy, there may be a black man in the White House, but it's still a guy.
I'm still gonna have to prove that I'm as good as any male comic, or that I'm not like any other female comic. I'm sure clubs will still have a 2-20 ratio of male acts compared to female acts. Nothing is going to change for me, nothing. I'm still out of a truck because of the hurricane. I still cannot finance a truck because I cannot prove employment, I work in a cash business. That will not change.
If he would have put Hillary Clinton has Vice President, then, maybe things would really change, but he got a guy. Another guy. So basically there will be no change, not for me anyway. It will still be a pissing contests in the world leadership.
So for me it's just Wednesday, not really all that different than last Wednesday. When we have a woman in the big seat, now that to me will be change, total change. But until then, it's just Wednesday.
