I wanted to start giving aspiring producers tips and tricks to creating and mixing music. Many out there are always asking me for advice. So I will from time to time post different things I have learned over the years.

Today I wanted to talk about setting up your mixer. Your mix is very important. The best way to get a clean mix is to break your project down via the mixer and FX each track as needed.

If you do not know how to route your mixer, please read the help file of the software or hardware that you use to mix your creations. You will need to know how to do this.

Live 7 user here, i sometimes rewire with reason 4 and instead of using reasons mixer i change the connections from each track in reason to the rewire interface then route each of those channels back into Live 7's mixer, makes life easier for recording mix and effect automation and gives you more control over the mix.........
