We had a great time at SxSW this year! We played several great shows and saw lots of friends. We didn't get to see all the people we wanted to see though, alas.

The band has finally cemented into a great unit. We've added two new guys to sing and play with us, Jacob Hildebrand on electric guitar and Kevin McCoullagh on acoustic guitar and backing vocals. We've been covering the "Take Up Your Mat and Walk Material" and it' sounding great live!

DEADMAN has finished filming the "Living Room Live" taping covering over 10 years of the bands music complete with a 16 piece band, complete with horns, strings, and backing vocalist! The film starts with material from "Paramour" and goes all the way through "Take Up Your Mat and Walk." Promotional Trailer DVDs were handed out at SxSW this year and got a great response.

"I was visiting with my friend Ramy Antoun about this concept we had. It was a concept to do a show or film about an artist and their mindset, how they worked in their own environment both sonically and emotionally. Mystery is important to artistry but so is transparency. It's a balance between those two. Ramy and I decided to try it out on DEADMAN and it coincided with the band's 10 year anniversary. We converted an auditorium into a sound stage and built a set. We had a small audience and HUGE band. The night went off great! It's somewhere between the VH1 series "Story Tellers" and The Band's "The Last Waltz". I was completely humbled by the love I was shown that night by my friends from these past years and by the songs themselves, because they gained new meaning to me as we played them that night as a retrospective.
