SPECIALIZING IN COLLECTIBLE URBAN VINYL TOYS & SNEAKERS, THE LATEST SHOP OF ITS KIND IN CHICAGO OPENS ITS DOORS ON SUNDAY, MARCH 11, 2007.
Chicago, IL (A.Okay Official) March 7, 2007 The citys latest shop geared towards the growing and collector consumer, A.Okay Official, opens its north side-Chicago doors for their soft opening on Sunday, March 11, 2007 (10am-6pm). The shop is located at 3270 N. Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60657, at the corner of Clark and School (one block north of Belmont Avenue). The shop will give sneaker enthusiasts a new destination to feed the urban addiction to collectible and limited edition sneakers, as well as bring urban vinyl toys to the masses.
A.Okay Official will be open seven days a week, with hours as follows:
Monday Friday, 11:00am 7:00pm
Saturday, 11:00am 8:00pm
Sunday, 11:00am 6:00pm
The soft opening will provide shoppers with a chance to check out sneakers and gear from the usual suspects, with brands like ALIFE to be in stock soon. Urban vinyl toys that will be stocked with collectible product lines like: Dalek, Pete Fowler, Friends with You, James Jarvis, Kubrick Medicom, Rocket World, Tokidoki, Shawnimals, Toy2R, Kid Robot, Critterbox, Ugly Dolls, Maywa Denki, MARS-1 and Nathan Jurevicius. The shop will also feature art displays (many pieces on consignment) from local Chicago artists, Pea-be, Gurelea Arts and others.
Currently, plans are in the works for a two-part Grand Opening event bringing the shop to the stage with cross promotions that will tie together events in the shop with an A.Okay-sponsored hip hop show. The Grand Opening is being planned for mid to late May of 2007. More details will be released at a later date.
