Current mood: amused
thats what MMO games feel like. for example, my fiance, she lives in reality, the one you see when not glued to a computer. she feels all kinds of turmoil and such from day to day life and struggles (which i have to admit, or almost always my doing) wile me on the other hand, consumed by my gaming zest, pay 0 attention to the real reality, and live in the countless fabricated realities of video games. mind you this is changing. slowly. but i still feel my self running to the pc, every time something happens, like a drug addict runs to there drug of choice when something happens. now there is something i am noticing, video games, in general, are turning into a legal drug of sorts. trust me, i know from experience, how much games and the web, can be like drugs. its very disturbing. i blew one demon back to hell, to allow another to spawn. its very tragic to admit this. my fiance which i love dearly, is in dismay because of my stupidity on video games. mind you as of late, i have ben contacting old friends in my home state. and it isn't uncommon, that what i have been doing, is accruing there as well. and its starting to scare me. is video gaming the next thing like cocaine?? or possibly crack rock?? yes and no i think. yes because people will run to it, and make excuses to do it. and no, because how many people do you know, who have died from video game use?? in retrospect, video games are not as lethal as hard core drugs, such as heroin. but down right just as addictive. and probably just as hard to kill. now im basically saying this about all games. but it seems there is a difference between games like Cave Story (best free ware game ever) and games like WoW. some games, you play once, beat, and be like "cool that was fun. lets try another game like that" sorta like weed. try once, you get baked, and do it again because it was fun, but only once every 3 months kinda deal. then you have WoW. WoW is like the hard shit. you pay your dealer (blizzard internment) 15 bucks a month for your fix. and god dammit if you don't play that game mad crazy. because heaven forbid, you wasted 15 bucks on 30 minutes of WoW a month. and this is what scares me. now the spawn of F2P MMO games are coming out. you don't have to pay a sent, if you don't want to. kinda like going to a buddies house to get high, you just Cruz over, get buzzed, and don't pay. but if you want the full gaming experience, you need to start playing. so you start going to the dealer. and getting premium items, and premium content. and it kinda blows, cuz then, your just blowing money, on something not worth it. its sad. its sad im caught up in this rat race, and so many others are as well. but, knowing is half the battle. if you know you can make a choice, and win the battle. or not. either way, this is my random thought on MMO video gaming, and video gaming in general.
P.S.:
i love safari web browser. best thing ever. has built in spell check!!
