Hey, friends!

How y'all doing?  I'm doing great.  I'm currently in California, enjoying the wide open spaces of the Antelope Valley right now, about an hour outside of Los Angeles.  It's way too late to still be up (2:30 am) but hey, I'm a night owl and proud of it. 

I'm in California to stay, so all of you whom I still haven't seen since I got here, I've just been trying to settle in a bit...! 

I got some wonderful news the other day; my song "Company Town", (which pays homage to my home town in Arctic Norway), just placed 4th in the 12th Annual Unisong International Songwriting Contest.  It's so exciting, and I actually get a bunch of goodies as a prize too...!  Gotta love that.  It's a real honor to get such recognition for something you initially created on your couch with a guitar and a tape recorder.  Thank you...!  (I say thank you for lots of things these days; there are many things to be grateful for). 

Another cool thing: You will soon be able to check out a music video for my song "State Line".  More details soon!!! 

And a last-minute-reminder: L.A.-people: if you're on the Westside this Saturday night, come see me play at the Talking Stick, 1411 Lincoln Boulevard, Venice at 7 pm.  It'll be me and my buddy Joe doing a 30-minute set of my tunes, getting ourselves ready to play the 2009 Method Fest in Calabasas next week.
