Hello, all!
Well, I say 'all', but I blatantly know only the ever-lovely Nick Williams ever reads this blog. So, hello, Nick!!
Hope Christmas has been fun and festive and full of frolics. As the New Year approaches, I'm going to make one of those awful Resolution things to do more with and for Crow Crag. Martin and I have never been the most in-yer-face of people and are progress as an acoustic duo has been slow but sure. But, we're checking out some venues, I'm in talks with The Guildhall in Gloucester, we're writing new songs, we're getting a full Set List together, and we're beginning to see 2009 as the year that we finally get some gigs under our belt and some tracks laid down that aren't stuff we're recorded seperately.
I'll be with Martin (and other chums) on New Year's Eve, so we'll no doubt wag chins about the possibilities of the upcoming year and the need to get out there and show people what we have created (which sounds like an allusion to Frankenstein's Monster and, in my case, often sounds like it too whenever I attempt a harmony).
On a personal note, my main joy of 2008 and the emergence of Crow Crag is that, I hope, it's given Martin - a damned talented musician and singer/songwriter - the chance to finally emerge from the Mole Hole and show people what he can do. If nothing else, I'm happy about that.
See you in 2009!
