Marijuana...a drug much safer then alcohol and tobacco.

I'm not going to go into full detail about Marijuana or about the facts of Marijuana. I will give you my honest opinion though. I know many "Closet" smokers. A lot of straight A student smokers down to (or up to) elderly smokers. I know that so so SO many people hope and pray for the legalization in all of the U.S states. The problem that so many are not understanding is that if you believe in something, stand up for it. Not by just agreeing in social situations that you hope it will be legalized, but get out there and fight for what you believe in. I say this by meaning something else. Don't just join a group, don't smoke it in public. We need to bring this into politics. We need to write a letter. Write a letter to your states senator, representative, whatever. Don't sit in the dark about it anymore. I have already wrote and sent out a letter today, putting up many valid reasons why Marijuana should be legalized but still closely watched just like with alcohol and in some cases tobacco. Go to a search engine, read up facts, get good statements, IMPRESS somebody in the office. Don't write a letter about some bullshit reasons why it should be legalized such as (Weed has never killed anyone). Be smart, be respectful...and don't call it weed, call it by it's (semi)-scientific name. In your letter write the code that marijuana is classed under. Know your facts, sound intelligent. If we all get together we can do anything. So get your senators (preferably) name and sit down, write a letter and send it out.
We can change the minds of people one letter at a time, one peaceful protest at a time, and one intelligent mind at a time.

kinda makes you wonder what would happen to the deficit and/or the economy if we legalized it; what, with all the revenue it could produce. good point(s) my man. good point.

i went to hemp fest, a protest in boston. while it was a good movement, people standing up for what they believe in, there were also a lot of people there that were good examples of why NOT to legalize it, people who couldnt really function. its a rough situation, i support either way.

Yeah i know what you mean, but of course with legalization comes laws to abide by. I think that the same laws they use for alcohol (Or revised a bit since its less dangerous) should be used for marijuana.
