Since Everybody in tha World MC's, DJ's & Makes Beats,

WHERE ARE ALL THE FANS (Go To My Page & Hear My "ILL" Beats)?

Is This The Reason Why Music Is The Way It Is @ This Very Moment (My Shit Is "HOT", Son!)?

GunSmoke / BootaMack Entertainment

I think the rap game is the way it is because thier not allowing other Mc's to be heard. Right now the Cooperate Exe see money, sales in HipHop have been down and the only music that has been able to sustain somewhat is the rap from the south and trust me a lot of it is not quality work. New Yourk being the foundation should do more to support local artist in other areas not just New York. My case in point "Jersey" Just like I call NY the foundation of hiphop I have to say NY/NJ, why cause eventhough Kool Herc and them had it rocking uptown and in the Bronx we all know SUGAR HILL and Rappers Delight is what got it jumpen comercially.

My point, NY is like our LA in a since but Jersey has always contributed to what has been label the east cost or up north sound. When NY artist were lacking in sales it was artist like Naughty By Nature, Lords of Da Underground, Queen Latifah, Red Man, Whitney, Joe Budden, The Fugees, Jahiem and others artist like that who keep shit right, gave NY artist time to get they shit together. At one point the West Coast was killing the game and then Jersey held the tourch until The Wu came and Biggie came and Hov came then Lil Kim dropped a banger or two, Mobb Deep drop a jewel, Cam came out with some fire and before you know NYC was back in the sattle.

Now ladies and gentlemen where back at the point agian. Hov had good sales and so did Nas. Ludcris came correct and so did Jeezy, but besides that DefJam/Universal roster and Interscope who is literally controlling the game, very few artist are getting in let alone selling units.

Jersey stand up!!! yall don't have to let's us in or leave a spot for us. Time has proven we will always be thier but with the lack of originality in the game and so much untapped talent in areas where proven hit makers have come from it just make sense to alliance ourselves with one another. And let me I'll leave you with this......

I lot of people like RedMan and a lot of people like MethodMan but when u put the two together nobody can f%^k with them dudes. NY/NY let's get it together

Peace!!!!

I make beats because i love to do it, but im still a big fan of hiphop! And i buy records all the time and go to concerts and all that. Im would not call myself an artist or a producer because Im not. I make beats just 4 me to listen to when Im drunk! But there is a lotta wack music coming out, and everybody think they got the skillz to be a dope artist or producer, I agree on that. But I don't see it as a problem, I just ignore the wack shit and go buy some dope music to listen to instead.

Where All The Fans @?
Since Everybody in tha World MC's, DJ's & Makes Beats,

WHERE ARE ALL THE FANS (Go To My Page & Hear My "ILL" Beats)?

Is This The Reason Why Music Is The Way It Is @ This Very Moment (My Shit Is "HOT", Son!)?
A: 28-35 years old havin lives ie family, jobs, etc, not sittin in front of a computer...lol.
99% of todays "Hip Hop" generation (age16-24) don't know their hip hop history. And for the past decade or so have been force fed Hip Pop.Like premo's shirt said in the scratch mag "Hip Hop is not on the Radio".SO the masses are soakin in all the glitz n glamour and BS.While real legendary hiphop artists like yourselves go under the radar?(I thought Premo would have wayyy more fans on here I mean WTF?)
I dunno,thats my thoughts.
Basicly my generation is uneducted, and misslead.Which just keeps the bad music comming and since "Hip Hop" is the biggest thing on the planet right now.EVERYONE wants to be a rapper or beatmaker/producer,etc theres alot of wannabees out there who don't know shit about hiphop/beatmakin/emcee'n,etc.I know alot of these cats just rolled out of bed and decided 2 be a rapper oneday.
Same to the cats who have a $4,000 keyboard/MPC,etc and they beats stank but well you know...My Shit Is "HOT", Son!

yo renegade. you on point homie. kats today, hip hop is something they put on in the morning. they werent always like that. This kat i knew from 7th-9th grade was gothic and didnt like the wu tang i showed him, but now he is a rapper and loves wu tang. Kats is phony as hell. These kids will eventually give up and the real will still be there. the stuff on the radio will die off eventually, and if it dont, ill role to every station and murder the dj.

Real gonna always rise above those who don't know from practice and experience. The real don't need to sweat, others is just tryiing, and their way of being on your nuts is through appeals to peep their page. That's the new "Sign my cd". Kids don't want autographs, they want you to hit their page up with a messsage so they can market it and get some rise, they want you to do a track with them out of love. Everyone wants to be in the game, "market saturation" is what stringer bell would call it. But fuck stringer. You got to war the way to your postion through shrewd consistent practice, time put in, professionalism, and dues paid.

For real though , check out my page, we different, we hot for real, bananas, bonkers more than coke guy from yonkers, our shit is "Hot", I know you know cause you lookin' at the realest artwork sayng "true". !!!! Jus Fuckin' with yall. Stay deep...

I am probably your number 1 fan!

Personally I don't care if you ever go to my page and read or listen to what I got..

But as a fan I have to say I have loved what you guys do since the 1st Black Moon record. The minute I heard "Who got the Props" I was sold. My favorite use of skull snaps to date... with that smooth ass ronnie laws joint on it!
But then the full LP was released and I heard "I gotcha Open" (the original version) which had the illest baseline ever, and I was a beatminerz junkie from that point on. There weren't enough blunts in the world, to fill my need to hear that beat just one more time.
I never had a bangin system in my car until later on, but anybody I knew that did, was guaranteed an earful of I gotcha Open.
Whats amazing to me about the beatminerz is their ability to make a track so simple yet so full. With just a bassline, a drum, and little horn riff... I'm satisfied. Whereas a lot of other producers try that same formula, and it doesn't work the same way. It could be the sp1200s or the mp60's grime, or it could be the 2 pair of ears, and hands that run those machines... my guess is the latter.

Anyway fellas for the sake of keeping you happy, I've kept my shirt on (plus don't nobody really want to see my bird chest anyway) and I haven't mentioned me or what I do - because what I do is admire what you guys do, and I always will.

Peace!

maybe it's not hip hop. maybe it's north america. stop looking at album sales and start investing in live shows. artists in south america and parts of asia have to rely on live shows since no one can afford the cds, nor the stereos to play them. burning spear toured south america from north to south, and look how well he did! focusing on album sales only puts more power in the hands of the very people who AREN'T EVEN MAKING THE TUNES!

give it some thought, we'd love to see you out here in the philippines.

computers. if you have one you can download your favorite music for free, make your own music and put it out for the world to hear. i think theres still as much good music as there was in the past if not more. the difference is in the ratios. theres too much mediocrity. where in the early 90's hip hop for example the ratio of wack to dope was like 3:1 (estimation please dont come at me with numbers) now its like 30:3. times change. now since everyone is an artist we should all support each others work(if its dope of course) buy 3 copies on vinyl and 3 on cd. oh yea and mediocre shit is just as bad if not worse than wack shit. you know it when you hear it.
on the other hand why does everyone have to be a critic these days?

think it still boils down to wh o is dope and who is wack as far as the street side of our music goes.although i think corporate media will market or i mean exploit a completely different genre of hip hop and thats the biggest problem is what people are being fed musically.its not a fair playing field when radio dont give fans and aspiring artists a balanced amount of different music to take in. im fine if you want to play 10 songs by the hurricane chris's of rap but you better give me 10 songs by da beatminers, and pete rocks of the world too.
the fans and the artists should dictate what goes on the radio not clear channel, not mtv not bet and not vh1,i mean if your fed mcdonands everyday all you are going to know is mcdonalds when it comes to food for thought somebody get me a plate of fish!!!!!!

I'm a long term fan/listener of your work. Also I make music. Nevermind the 'beats' on my behalf, if it wasn't for people like yourselves the Beatminerz, I wouldn't even be interested in 'good' music to begin with. I understand your point on not wanting to hear other people beats, because for some it's annoying and it disrupts their own creativity....esp. if you clearly stated you don't want to hear them. Some musicians don't want to hear other sounds when creating because it's like writing on a piece of paper with words already on it...before you can move forward you have to ignore or erase what's already written. Not knocking your take on listening but, I happen to listen to some (not all) beats from other beatmakers because that's how much I like and respect good music. On the other hand when it get forced fed thru back-to-back advertisements, I'm not interested in listening either. esp, if it's on my OWN music page.

Peace..

Keep motivating and creating good music.

Jo.

Making music is my life. I hear you. In an age where all it takes to be a "rapper" is a fitted and chinstrap and a most "producers" misuse pro tools we need to recognize the true talent and underrated innovators.

It is also the age of the common person. More output means more garbage, which means the real shit shines through that much more.
