"I urge all Americans who supported me to join me in not just congratulating him, but offering our next president our good will and earnest effort to find ways to come together, to find the necessary compromises, to bridge our differences, and help restore our prosperity, defend our security in a dangerous world, and leave our children and grandchildren a stronger, better country than we inherited. Whatever our differences, we are fellow Americans." - John McCain - 11/04/08
Very respectable concession speech by McCain. I feel sorry for him because I think he is a good man who would have had a much better shot had his people run his campaign better. Too bad his supporters can't be as hopeful and respectful as he was last night. Obama hasn't even taken office yet and people are already whining. Being bitter and angry isn't going to get us anywhere. Why not come together and try to unite? Why not try and learn about this man that you have written off? Regardless of your political affiliation, you're gonna have to put up with it for 4 years, why not try to make it as free of stress as possible? I mean, even Karl Rove was able to say nice things last night and wish the best of luck.
Maybe this is something we could have all agreed on?!?
