ONRA has just arrived in China and we got great news for those in the Middle Kingdom  who want to buy this sampling maestro's music. Wa3 website (www.wa3.cn - all in Chinese) has just recently made 3 of his releases available for electronic download on their website.

1.0.8 (2009)

His new album is also one of the best instrumental albums you will have heard in a long time. Darker, subtle soul, synth lines and some Bollywoodian samples to boot! No going wrong with this one...

7 x 7 (2008)

This is what Boomkat had to say about this 2-track release:

"The awesome Allcity 7" series brings itself to a close with this brilliant installment from french beat maker Onra laying down two tracks of typically esoteric yet devastating club joints. Onra is probably best known for his instrumental travelogue 'Chinioseries' last year for Favourite recordings, a masterful trip into the art of keen eared sampling with a heavy lean on South Asian and Vietnamese music. Crafted for the A-side, 'My Comet' is a neat nugget of scuzzy instro grindbeats with a psychy wooze that has been shot through the best tracks from this series. But our favourite has to be 'Shhhhhhh' on the flip, craftily utilising the same sample as the first Thriller 12" and almost acting as an another alternative edit to one of our favourite tracks of the year, by applying head swimming FX to a double dope and as yet unknown electro soul sample, saving some extra funked synth noodling for this version to make it worth your while. We've no idea what Allcity are up to next, but if it's half as good as this series, we'll be well on top of it. Tip!"

Chinoiseries (2007)

This is the album that turned Arnaud into an underground beat sensation, with smooth, esoteric Asian vibes throughout. The hit "The Anthem" catapulted the man into everybody's earphones with its infectious groove that makes your Chinese grandmother rock her socks off! Check it out for yourself... an instant classic!
