Having determined that HEAVYMAN's music is mainstream(!), the People's Music Awards 2009 moved HEAVYMAN into the Hip-Hop/Trip-Hop/R&B Category.

This week, HEAVYMAN went through to the second round for Hip-Hop/Trip-Hop/R&B and in the Best Male Solo Artist (!!) categories, where the judges vote for two finalists from each category.

In their newsletter, TPMA wrote this:

"HEAVYMAN is “mad as hell and he's not going take it anymore”. He's decided the best way to stick it to UK parliamentary corruption is by donning a cape and rapping his way to the top. He can't flap roads or leap tall buildings but our tongue twisting superhero can tie you in knots with his ingenious wordplay – think Jeremy Paxman meets the Flash and the Furious 5. "

HEAVYMAN would like to thank everybody who voted him into the next round in these categories.
