alright, first time trying this out, so don't be surprised if it wanders.

  after taking a long look at my life and the things in my life that have upset me the most, it turns out i really don't like things that are mediocre.  don't get me wrong, i'm not that spectalcular, but this is my rant so here we go.  if you're gonna do something, why not do it to the best of your ability?  look at the people that we as a society admire, watch, and wait for.  they are not people who are just alright at what they do.  nobody strives for mediocre, they settle for it.  why settle?  why play it safe to avoid rejection, to avoid failure.  bullshit.  you only get one go round at this trip called life, i'll be damned if i find myself on my death bed looking back saying i wish i had done this, i should have done that.  if you don't settle, if you give it everything you have and still fail, there is no room for regret, sometimes life doesn't hand out the story book ending.  there is no secret, there is no pearl of wisdom, there is no one answer.  it's your life, fucking live it.
