Yes, we know it's not politically correct to say it, but what are you going to do. Our founder was raised in a Christian atmosphere and she just likes to hear the words.
Also every year we provide toys to hundreds of kids in need and when we ask for donations we always ask for toys for Christmas.
We would like to say that every year our assistance to families has been great, unfortunately this year for the second year in the row we had to turn away kids and teens. While we would like to say it is because people don't care we can't because that would be an untruth.
The reality is as we have been seeing for the past year, times are getting harder and donations are getting scarcer. We wished that we could have helped more but we couldn't.
We are hoping with our next round of grant writing and fund-raising that we will be able to help those throughout the year that we simply could not help during the Christmas holiday.
We know that it is a season of sharing and caring, but right now it is a season where many are lucky to still have a job let alone the ability to donate new stuff or money to our charity.
For those who helped like Boardners Bar and Restaurant in Hollywood, Delightful Desserts and Arvello Entertainment we say THANK YOU and we really appreciate what you could do.
For every one else that promised, but didn't come through we would like to assume that you decided to help others individually. Well this is it for our blog, don't forget to check out our main page at www.projectsavinggrace.net.
Much love and kindness and don't forget to hug your neighbor!
