For the first time in my life I am frightened at what I see going on in our government.  Our "leaders" what to pass a bill allowing our government to buy bad mortgages, basically buy houses that people live in.  The government will own these houses, not the banks anymore.  That is heading straight towards socialism, and that scares me.  If we allow this bill to pass we grant our government more power than it has ever had, more control than we can imagine and that chance to further its grip on us and our daily lives.

Leadership does not mean one has to act right away.  Leadership means telling people how it really is and leading them through tough times.  This bailout will not help us, only harm us.  What we need s someone to stand up and say that we need to let the economy heal itself, because it can and it will.  That it will be tough but that we can make it through.  What they are doing is not leadership.  They are afraid to appear as if they do not know what to do.  To congress inaction appears weak, what we need is not action, but a calm voice of reason giving us confidence that their is light at the end of the tunnel.  Not the scared talk of all commerce grinding to halt that the are saying because its not the truth.  Congress is jumping us all of a cliff.

Our government was supposed to get its power from the people by the will of the people.  Most people do not want this bill to pass.  We need to let our voices be heard.
