Hi Friends,

As I reflect on this past year, I'm thankful for many wonderful blessings that I've been able to experience, including the opportunity to share live music with you and meet many new friends and faces here in the Northwest.

In the Spokane area, we have many wonderful things to do in every season -- from skiing, to biking, hiking, camping etc...  There is so much outdoor life to experience here, which is one of the main reason's I chose to return to this area.  I love the outdoors!  I love the snow, the cool summers, the mountains -- all of it!

However, we have been seeing an interesting trend lately that I hope you'll help me change... With all there is to do outdoors, (and the state of the economy) it appears that many people are choosing to spend their evenings at home, instead of going out to listen to music.  As a result, a number of great venues have shut their doors or have ceased doing live music.  What a tragedy!  The opportunity to see a live band is a great gift that can easily be taken for granted.  And no matter where you live, there's always great music to be found somewhere.

Check this out... Ella's jazz club, Spokane's top jazz venue closed down. Brooklyn Nights, Moose Market, The Davenport Hotel's Peacock room, Crickett's in Coeur D Alene and Moon Time in Coeur D Alene have all either stopped doing music or are testing the waters for a time to see if the crowds disappear.  All the above listed venues (except Ella's) have booked us in the last 6 months, which means we are losing five of our clients (actually 6 because Ella's was planning on booking us).

If we could, we'd be playing out 4-5 nights a week, but venues are hesitant right now.  BUT this is where you come in.  WE NEED YOUR HELP.  This is something you can change!

We are fortunate that some venues are continuing to book live music and we have several new venues booked in the next few months, including The Bear Creek Lodge at the base of Mt. Spokane and Blues At the Bend -- Spokane's best blues venue!

We need you to come out in force to let your local venues know that you will support live music.  As for the other venues mentioned, call them and ask them to keep the music alive.  Ask them to bring the Michael Lewis Band back and promise to bring your friends to see us.

Live music happens for one purpose -- so that YOU and your friends can have a great time out on the town.  We need your support in this critical time.  We may not be able to control what congress is doing with our money, but we can totally make a difference by coming out and grabbing a bite to eat or a drink at a venue that is hosting live music.

Thank you for all you do to help us keep the music alive!
