HIP-HOP HAS PLAYED A MAJOR PART OF MY LIFE FOR ABOUT THE LAST 4 YEARS. IS GREART TO SEE HOW HIP-HOP HAS SPREAD ALL AROUND THE WORLD AND PEOPLE OF ALL RACE HAS EMBRACED IT. THE REAL REASON I'M WRITIN THIS IS BCUZ MOST OF THE ARTISTS NOWADAYS ARE TRASH AND DON'T DESERVE ANY TYPE OF SPOT LIGHT AT ALL. I HATE TO TURN TO BET OR MTV AND SEE PEOPLE THAT SPIT THE MOST CORNY SHIT I EVER HEARD AND WHATS THE SAD PART IS THAT THEY ARE NEW YORK NATIVES. I'M NOT HERE TO CALL NAMES BUT U KNOW WHO U ARE. I GOT A LOT OF LOVE FOR MY NEW YORK ARTISTS BUT WHEN IT COMES T MAKIN A HIT SINGLE YA'LL DISAPPOINT ME SOME TIMES. I'M NOT THE GREATEST RAPPER IN THE WORLD BUT PEOPLE KNOW HOW I GET DOWN AND I'M RHYMES DON'T CONSIST OF ME TELLIN LIES OR FALSE NEWS. I MAKE MUSIC U COULD DANCE TO AND HAVE FUN WITH. I'M ALSO A PUNCH LINE RAPPER WHICH IS ALWAYS A GOOD THING. SO REMEMBER NEW YORK BE CAUTION OF THE MUSIC YOU PUT IN THE STREETS. YOU MIGHT MAKE A LOT OF MONEY OFF OF IT BUT AT THE SAME TIME YOU WILL LOSE THE RESPECT OF YOUR PEOPLE.

Very interesting commentary.  I agree for the most part. Only because if I am correct there was an era when the most popular hiphop/rap songs were party songs, but then again it was packed with quips and puns and just great lyrical estethics (i think that is the right word).  However, a lot of rappers are trying to make money and losing their artistry in the process. Who is to blame?  The artist for trying to live or the fans for acting like they don't appreciate the true core of their favorite artist? Maybe you should write a blog on the role of the hiphop fan.  Oh yeah, and your blogs spell check nephew. lol. p.s. i am really late responding to this blog huh?
