I am happy to say that we are all busy here at Relios, designing and crafting new collections for you in 2009! In fact, you might run into Susan, Bill and I at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show in early February. We are compiling our wish list and we'll be on the lookout for great gems we can share with you with our jewelry.
It's About Color What I love about bold, colorful jewelry is that it can literally transform something I have in my closet. The gems can bring out the best in our clothing, and our clothing can bring out a different personality in our gems depending on the play of colors.
Our approach to color begins with gathering trend information from many different sources (fashion magazines, trade publications, the web, and other media), and we put it all together on a trend board. Then we sit back and soak it all in. What usually happens when we arrive at the many shows in Tucson is that we are naturally drawn to certain stones based on our interpretation of the trends, how we can make them our own, and bring gems together in new and unique ways to enhance the colors we will be wearing this year.
I would love to hear what colors and gems you would love to see more of in our upcoming shows. Some of my best ideas come from you, and I truly appreciate your sharing them with me before I head for Tucson!
I look forward to hearing from you, and to spending some fun filled hours together in this New Year!
Sincerely, Carolyn
