Current mood:busy as always

Ambrose has done an amazing job with the video for “So We Say”.  Thanks for all the positive feedback we’ve received.  It’s still pretty surreal.  I’d expect nothing more from Ambrose, but I really can see the link between the video and song on this one.  I’m not getting into explaining what my lyrics are about, I always try to avoid that shit (believing it’s something that should be left to the listener to get what they want from it), but Ambrose got it for sure.  If you haven’t watched it already, please check it out and let us know what you think or maybe watch it again if you have.

Next week on Thursday 29th October we’re playing The Legion (London) again for Spoons “Sod Wednesdays, Let’s Do Thursdays Instead”.  I’m really looking forward to it, as the other bands on the night are top class!  I think I said so in my last blog, so I won’t labour the point, but here’s the links to listen to the other acts so you can check them out.

It’s a right good mixture of psychedelia, shoegaze, post rock, avant garde and whatever we are.

  So, what’s not to love!?

It’s technically a FREE gig, though a jar will come round for donations (with no pressure).  So come down and experience a great night.

We’ve got some new things we’re going to try out, including our new tune “Clocking Out” which you haven’t heard yet (cos we haven’t finished recording it).

Then the very next morning we’re on the Megabus to Hull to play with The Notebook (30th October).  If you live in Hull, come along.  It’s a Halloween gig, so dress up and party on!!!  We’ve been trying to set up a gig with The Notebook for a while.  They’re a really great band.  They’re playing at The Buffalo Bar on Friday (23rd Oct) and I seriously recommend you come down and check them out.  I’ll be there.  I know there’s a cheaplist, so get in touch with the band or me and make sure you’re on it.  Here’s the link to their page.

Sean was up at the weekend.  That’s Sean Stevens who co-wrote and played on most of “Pizzo Tung”.  In between amassing a mountain of beer cans, we did get some recording done.  You may have noticed on our player, we’ve upped a version of “The Hawaii Five-0 Theme” (probably the best TV theme ever).  We found and nicked Dave Grohls drums from Nirvana’ “Territorial Pissings” and played the theme over the top.  Surprisingly (or maybe not) it works really well (even if I say so myself, haha).  Check it out.  It’s only a minute long.  We’ve got another song on the go, but it’s nowhere near finished (working title: Tapeworm).

We’ve got a few other exciting things in the planning stage.  I’ll keep you informed as they start to become a reality, but for now I think that’s enough blog writing.

Oh one more thing I forgot to say last week and nearly did this time too.  Tomoko has uploaded a couple more tunes onto her DTT page, so check them out too if yo have time.  They’re top stuff, as usual.

See you next week at The Legion hopefully!!
